Drill: point control for thrusting the floating tennis ball.

Take a tenis ball and put a rope through it from top to bottom.

tie one end of the rope to a beam, branch etc about 8 feet above the ground.

set the ball at about 6 feet off the ground with the rope hanging down to the ground.

Add a weight to the bottom of the rope. Start with about 2 lbs.

pracice your thrusts against this tenis ball, it will move around a little but not too much. the more weight you remove the more it moves if you hit it.

It is important to make shure that all of your thrusts are from correctly formed shots. this is to train you to have accurate thrusts, it is pointless(even really damaging to your form) if your shots are crap and your returns are crap.
